Minesing Grain Bins
Everyone always asks "Is this Saskatchewan?" because of the bright wheat field. It's actually in Minesing, Ontario, home of the famed Minesing Wetlands.
We were driving on the backroads hoping to capture something interesting, when we passed this farm in the late afternoon (after a day of plein air painting). Brakes were swiftly applied and I got out to take several shots for reference. This was the end result, very satisfying! Thick brush strokes emphasize the flowing wheat field while the late afternoon sun glints off the grain bins.
This painting was chosen for exhibition at the annual Barrie Art Club show at City Hall in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
Oil painting on Terraskin mounted on cradled panel. 8 × 10” by Canadian Impressionist artist Susan Hunter Guise.
Shipping is handled directly by the artist and will be arranged after purchase. You will receive an email with further details.
