Announcing our Winner of the Poems in Pastels Draw!

Thank you to everyone who visited my Poems in Pastels exhibition which ran from Jan 27 until Feb 22nd 2025. A special thank you to those of you who took the time to vote for your favourite painting! As part of the exhibition, I offered a draw where, by submitting your email address, one lucky participant would win a set of five notecards. I also included my past subscribers, so you haven’t missed out.

Fabiola Corona, Barrie Art Club Curator, and Susan Hunter Guise, Featured Artist. Feb 2nd 2025. 17 pastel paintings and 15 oil paintings were on exhibition and sale. Two have sold—thank you to my friends Debra and Diane! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

I’m delighted to announce that the winner of the draw is Debra Bridgman—congratulations! I’ll be in touch soon to arrange delivery.

I also did a second draw for a small poster of the Haiku poems, and the winner is Enrique Bravo—congratulations! Copies of the poster are available for $5.00, so contact me if you’re interested.

As for the most popular painting, it was a tie! Quiet Majesty of the Dunes and Calm After the Storm both captured equal admiration. Both are available for purchase. I am hopeful that they will be in a juried show coming up soon! I’ll keep you informed. See them both below. Click on the photos for more information.

Calm After the Storm - 8×10” pastel by Susan Hunter Guise

This is also a personal invitation to you to submit your work to the Hunter Guise Gallery - we are looking for more artists to show their work—there is no cost other than a small commission if the work sells.

You’ll find more details here as well as a submission form.

Some subscribers will notice a change in email starting from this one. I have shifted from my FASO email system to my new Squarespace system. I think it’s an improvement. Let me know what you think?

Thank you for subscribing! I look forward to sharing more with you—whether it’s insights from Artist Websites or updates from the Hunter Guise Gallery. Stay tuned for some exciting emails ahead!

Thank you again for your support and for being part of this artistic journey with me!

Warm regards,

Susan Hunter Guise
